22. Falling Down, Getting Up! – Not Giving Up!
Hi,
Thanks so much for visiting my Blog.
Due to circumstances beyond my control I have not been able to visit other’s Blogs as often as I would have liked, that is for sure. I started visiting other’s Blogs today, and I have been blown away by what I have found to read and see there. I could mention so many things I have read and learned just from today’s visits.
Yesterday was a day when I was feeling somewhat down and overwhelmed.
Today, however, I go and visit Heine Wentzel’s Blog, among others, (Rod MacBeth’s Great Blog), and read his posting about Failing Forward, and watch the amazing video he downloaded to his site from YouTube. It is so uplifting and I absolutely loved his posting.
He said, “If you can associate with failing and this kind of “feeling down” and you need to get out of it real quick, watch this video. You WILL get up.
You will not mind failing forward fast.”
I Love Living Life. I Am Happy.
Truly an amazing person.
This followed on after late yesterday, following my “down day” that I went to the video shop to see what videos they had available and was blown away by the fact a film had now been made about Christian the Lion, his life with John Rendall and Ace Berg, his previous owners, how he came to be owned by them, how he came to go back to Africa and how they all had an amazing Reunion a year later. Not to spoil the story here is a clip of that Reunion.
When I saw it last year tears came to my eyes. It is an amazing story of love both from the Lion and his
owners. Please watch!
If you get a chance to get this Movie out, it is out now on Video and well worth viewing to hear and see this magnificent story in its entirety.
Heine got me thinking too about achievement and “success” as did a posting Rich made I read about what makes a leader which also brings to mind what brings about “success?”
I am so glad I am reading other people’s blogs and watched these videos.
They have really uplifted me and given me the courage to continue to move forward.
Thanks everyone and I will be visiting more Blogs over the next few days.
As I was saying, I was feeling overwhelmed yesterday and these videos and Blog readings have assisted me, as well as going back to my Plan and reviewing it and re-prioritising what I was doing and when.
I have sent out emails to potential Joint Ventures for my launch of my product auctionstrategiesexplained.com for the 22nd September. I already have several great Joint Venture partners that have come on board, which I am truly excited about.
I have created an Affiliate’s page for 75% commission and it is located through a link at the bottom of the Home page of auctionstrategiesexplained.com – ebay should definitely form a part of our income – another stream of income – as it is an easy, cheap one to begin, which gives back profits almost immediately, which is what my product explains, how to do this all quickly and easily.
There are also 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes.
I look forward to talking with you again,
I would love your comments, ideas and feedback,
Until next time,

Hi Carol, brilliant post and thanks for bringing us the positive video. What an inspiration that man is! Glad to hear you are having a better day today.
Enjoy the journey.
Mandy
Hi Carol, wonderful post! I myself feel lack behind other students (including you). I haven’t had my own product ready and am still struggling to build my list. I also haven’t got the time to watch all the bonus videos and some other important training materials. I’m overwhelmed and I really need to re-plan everything. If I have to I will go back to module one and start from all over again. Just try to keep my mind focused. I’ve set my own goals and I have to make them happen!
rgds,
Rudi
Carol,
Your blog looks great! Upon further investigation, I realized that your are no “newbie”. Quite impressive adventures life has taken you on, if I my say so. The words in the video “I love living life. I am happy” about life’s challenges certainly applies to you. The words are “Life presents us with challenges not to destroy us, but to build our character”.
I am grateful that you found my post inspiring, and for mentioning it on your site. I simply must return the complement by admitting that just visiting your site is really a positive experience for me.
Keep moving – that is the way to keep your balance.
Heine.
Hey Carol
All I can say is THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. Tremendous inspiration, I am so glad I came by here to check out your blog since you had stopped by mine. The only problem I can see with your post is after you read it and watch the videos it takes several Kleenex to dry the tears from your eyes. Promise to keep coming by
Thanks
Glenn
Hi Carol,
Thank you for the great comment you left on my blog earlier today, I really appreciate it. Sounds like you are doing great, with a product on clickbank already. Great stuff, Carol.
Now you asked a question about the software I used to create those captions on my video. I replied with the answer on my blog, but I want to make sure you see it, so I’ll just paste it here to make it easier for you.
Here is what I replied:
Now the program I used to edit the video with those captions is called Camtasia. You can get a free fully functional 30 day trial by going to their site – http://www.techsmith.com/download/camtasiatrial.asp . So you could edit as many videos as you like before the 30days is up, I think?
The full version is $299, which is what I am using. So I’m not 100% sure if you can edit as many videos as you like in the free trial, but it sounds like you can. The other great thing about Camtasia, and it’s main feature, is that you can also do screen capture presentations.
To add captions to your video you simply import the video into Camtasia, mark on the timeline the part of the video you want the caption to appear. Then click on Callouts in the left side menu, and it will give you lots of different options.
To see exactly how it’s done, there is some great video tutorials on how to use the software here – http://www.techsmith.com/learn/camtasia/getting-started/default.asp
Those are the tutorials that I used to learn how to use the software to create those captions.
I hope that helps? If you get stuck with it let me know and I’ll try and help.
Thanks again for the great comment, and for visiting.
Paul.
Rudi,
I am so sorry it has taken a while to answer you . I had a very hectic weekend – Father’s Day etc.
I know how you feel as I feel that way at times too.
I think that is a great idea to go back to Number 1 and I will be going back and revising too.
If there is anything I can do to help I will be only too happy.
I was worrying that others were ahead of me but Alex said we are all at different places
and we are up to where we should be up to so I felt better.
Regards,
Carol

I thank you so very much for your wonderful comments and I will treasure them.
I have been in John Thornhill’s Coaching for quite a few weeks now and have learned a lot and it
was he who recommended to me to join Alex’s coaching and I am so glad I did.
I did find your post inspiring and I will be returning again.
Thanks so much again,

Firstly, I would like to say a huge “Thank You” for taking the time to give all this fantastic information
to me.
I actually feel a little silly as I own Camtasia Studio and didn’t even know you could do that with it.
I will go to the site you have shared with me (I’ve actually bookmarked it) and take myself through
the training so I know how to use it properly.
Thanks heaps again for your great help and also for visiting my site too.

Carol

Hi Carol,
I can so relate to having the down days and the up days. I am learning all of this around a 2 year old at the moment.
Just remember “The Tortoise always wins the race” Like you I did JT’s coaching last year but have only really got it together this year in MC. we are all at different stages, yet we are all encouraging and inspiring to each other.
Stay positive
Kind Regards
Jacinta
P.S I love your video introduction in your side bar. A great addition.
Great post Carol…heart warming and inspiring.
You also have some great ideas I am going to implement concerning your launch. Good luck with that!
Thanks for the nudge…
I’ll be back,
Kathy
Hi Kathy,
Thanks so much for your great comments.
Thanks also for wishing me luck.
Great to meet you.
Cheers,
Carol
